Spicy Lamb Farm

The Spicy Lamb Farm is a national park setting accommodating visitors through a variety of events. This family working farm offers a close up experience with sheep, ducks, working border collies, horses, and other livestock.  Events include shearing and spinning, sheep dog herding, festivals, dinning, and classes. Special events are scheduled throughout the year, and we welcome groups to design their own farm adventure. The farm store carries our food and fiber products. Come join us and celebrate the abundance of life with local food, fiber, and fun.

The Spicy Lamb Farm raises Dorset sheep, organic varieties of apples, pears, and plums, and spicy herbs and vegetables.  We invite you to enjoy our gourmet lamb and duck, fruit, and spices which are sold off the farm and, sometimes, at the Countryside Conservancy Farmers Market. Our wool blankets, yarns, roving, and fiber crafts are available at the farm and the Yellow Creek Trading Company in Peninsula.

This Cuyahoga Valley National Park farm is part of the Countryside Conservancy program. We are also the home of the Cuyahoga Valley Sheep Dog Trials and proud to be an Urban Shepherds sponsor and a North Coast Lamb Co-Op member,

We welcome visitors for our annual events, scheduled group tours, and private rentals. We are a small working family farm, not a demonstration farm, which makes non-scheduled visits difficult when we are tending our livestock and working. We do try to keep a few sheep out along the road so that, when you hike, bike, ride, or drive by the farm, you can enjoy this scenic and peaceful setting throughout the year.

Surrounded by mature woodlands and hidden away at the dead-end part of Akron Peninsula Road, off  Boston Mills Road, in the scenic Village of Peninsula, the farm is a place of education, fascination, and inspiration.
