With a goal of making 20th-century Black art more accessible to all, I work as an independent art curator and am the sole founder of The Onyx Club, a digital gallery.
My professional journey into the world of art curation began three years ago, sparked by a profound personal experience in finding a beloved ancestor’s grave. Since then, I’ve presented an array of exhibitions and public art displays in the Northeast Ohio area, each one crafted to provoke thought and ignite meaningful dialogue.
In addition to curatorial projects, I’ve contributed my expertise to conferences and panel discussions on topics ranging from the destruction of Akron’s “Little Harlem” to the role of technology in shaping the future of museums.
My work not only honors the past, but also strives to pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive future in the realm of art and culture.
